The United States has a federal system of government.  The result is that each of its fifty states determines its own family law and, therefore, its own position on assisted reproduction.  The vast majority of the states are extremely friendly toward third party reproduction.  However, with so many options, it is essential for prospective parents to have excellent advice on legal practice in each jurisdiction.  The International Center regularly and carefully monitors legal developments throughout the country.  We also consult with lawmakers on the legal position of third party reproduction in their respective states and prepare written comments on proposed legislation.
